DOUBLE CHOCOLATE COOKIES

Ingredients

COOKIES

  • ½ Cup Butter
  • ¾ Cup Brown Sugar tightly packed
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
  • 3 Squares Unsweetened Chocolate-Melted
  • 2 Cups Flour
  • ½ Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ¼ Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ¼ Teaspoon Salt
  • 2/3 Cup Milk

FROSTING

  • 1 Cup Chocolate Chips
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • ¼ Cup Milk
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
  • 2 Cups Powdered Sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Cream butter. Add sugar gradually. Beat in egg, vanilla, and cooled chocolate. Alternately add sifted dry ingredients and milk. Drop tablespoon-sized cookies 2” apart onto greased cookie sheet. Makes 2 dozen cookies. Cool then frost.
  • Frosting: melt chocolate with butter and milk. Blend in the sugar and vanilla. Frost cookies.
